Michalis DORIZAS
Michalis Dorizas was
the silver medal winner of the Men's Javelin throw at the 1908 Olympic
Games of London with a throw at 51, 30 m. He had also won a bronze medal
at the 1906 Mesolympiad of Athens at the Shot Put. He was born in Constantinoupolis
(Instanbul) at 1888 and started practising the throw events at a very young
age. When he stopped his sports career, he studied Sports Sciences and
worked as an assistant professor at the Pensylvania University. He died
at 1957 in Philadelpheia, USA.
