Sotirios VERSIS
Sotirios Versis was born
in 1870. He has won two bronze medals at the Olympics of 1896. The first
one was at the Greek Discus Throw, with 27, 78 m., and the other at the
weightlifting. He was a successful athlete of Panhellenios G.S. with a
body in excellent form, and also a successful businessman, as he worked
as a financier until 1913 when he died of Asian influenza.
